Porsche Cayenne Turbo takes on the 911 Carrera 4S

by Alex

This is round two of the great Autocar comparison for choosing the better car, and this time Autocar has chosen Porsche Cayenne Turbo and the 911 Carrera 4S for the comparison. But this written test may not be much fascinating as compared to being face to face with the cars, and frankly speaking of it is very new comparison considering one as an SUV and the other a Coupe, but being two different Porsche, the comparison stands viable. And going by their utility we would use one of them for off road drives and other for long vacation rides.

Now coming onto the real comparison, the Cayenne turbo runs on a 4.8 liter biturbo engine which easily gives us the power of 500 HP. Whereas for the 911 Carrera, it is powered by a 3.8 liter power unit that that gives us about 385 HP. Coming to their dimensions, it is easy to compare by bringing together David and Goliath!

The thing that wonders most of us is that, why did the British magazine company chose to compare these vehicles? These set of wheels do not have anything in common as they are totally different from each other except for the same brand they share – ‘Porsche’. So what’s the reason for this test? To find out check out this video.
