Three people died after a car crashed into a pole in Kenner, Louisiana on Saturday night.

The crash took place at about 10 p.m. at the intersection of Airline Highway and Jackson Street.

More than 6,000 people were left without electricity as the crash hit a power pole in Kenner when one car was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Airline Highway and another car was traveling southbound on Jackson Street. The second car was crossing over Airline when it was hit by the wrong-way driver.

Both cars then hit the power pole, which resulted in power outages in the area of the accident.

Entergy crews worked to restore power.
