Three killed after driver crashes into pedestrians at Iliff Avenue

Three people died in a crash after a driver of a van crashed into and killed two pedestrians in Aurora on Wednesday afternoon.

The van was heading westbound on Iliff and jumped a curb, struck the pedestrians on the sidewalk, and later struck into a tree.

The van’s driver was also pronounced dead at the scene along with the two adult pedestrians, who were struck on the sidewalk along East Iliff Avenue near South Buckley Road.

The driver was apparently suffering from some kind of medical problem according to the officials.

Two others were injured in the crash.

Investigators will investigate to figure out what happened to the driver.

Westbound Iliff has been shut down at South Pagosa Way as the investigation into the crash continues.
