Two men were killed following a car crash in Clinton County, Indiana.

The crash took place when one driver crossed the center line and into the way of a semi.

It was just before 7:40 a.m. Tuesday on State Road 39 (U.S. 421) between County Road 500 North and 550 North when the crash took place.

A black 2012 Chevrolet driven by 51-year-old identified as Richard Windell Jr., was traveling southbound on State Road 39. The Chevrolet then veered left of the center line and into the path of a blue 2014 Peterbilt semi-tractor pulling an empty grain trailer.

The vehicles crashed with each other.

After the crash, the semi, driven by 73-year-old identified Terry McQuern, of Frankfort, traveled off the west side of the roadway and struck into the porch of a residence.

Windell Jr. and McQuern were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The roadway was closed for several hours and before it was reopened in the afternoon.

Clinton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
