Two people were killed after a three-vehicle crash on I-695, in Washington.
The crash took place on the eastbound lanes of I-695, near the 1C exit, in the area of 11th Street Southeast.
It was around 6:45 p.m. when the officers were notified of the crash.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.
D.C. Fire EMS said the crash involved three vehicles.
All eastbound lanes on I-695 were closed due to the crash. It is not clear when they will be resumed.
