Two killed after three-vehicles crash on GA 23

Two people were killed after car crash on GA 23 in Tattnall County, Georgia on Monday around 5: 27 pm.

The three-vehicle crash near Jeff Smith Loop Road took place when an SUV was traveling south on GA 23, while a separate SUV was traveling behind a commercial motor vehicle. The driver of the first SUV crossed the centerline, hitting the commercial motor vehicle. After this impact, the SUV hit the second SUV head-on, in the northbound lane of GA 23. The driver of both SUVs was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer was identified as Julie Bass Sikes, 42, and the other driver of 2018 Toyota Highlander was identified as Ashley Hartmeyer 35.
