Two killed after car crash on I-12 in Baton Rouge

Two people died following a car crash on I-12 eastbound near Airline Highway in Louisiana when a car merging onto I-12 struck a semi-truck.

A Nissan merged into another lane and struck the front of a semi-truck, which sent the car into a barrier around 12:20 a.m.

The driver identified as Christopher Clanton, and a passenger, Daniel Robinson, died due to the crash.

The occupants of the semi-truck were not injured.

Baton Rouge Police investigated the crash.
