Two killed after two-car crash in Robeson County

Two people are dead after a car crash just after 10 a.m. on Chason Road in the Lumberbridge community of Robeson County, North Carolina.

One car crossed the center line and was struck head-on by another vehicle. After that, both cars ran off the road, overturned and engulfed.

Drivers of both cars were pronounced dead at the scene.

The drivers have been identified as Dawn Davis and Irene Locklear.

North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
