Two teens killed after car crash in Lexington County

Two teenagers were killed after a two-vehicle crash on Friday in Lexington County, South Carolina.

Two were traveling W. Dunbar Road and attempted to cross Edmund Highway to Old Dunbar Road when another vehicle failed to yield right of way.

Both were 18 years olds.

The identities of the two have been released as Alexis Nicole Evans, 18, of West Columbia, and Maliyah Claire Scott, 18, of Lexington.

Evans was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Scott was taken to an area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
