The Organizers of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) have recently provided a sneak peak of the 2017 season which is eagerly awaited. Officials at the FIA World Rally Championship have also disclosed that every car is going to receive a more aggressive aerodynamic package bringing a 55 mm increase in width along with 60 mm front and 30 mm rear longer overhangs and a larger rear wing which will allow the new generation automobile to protrude up to 50 mm from the rear bumper.

The rally cars are said to be lighter by 25 kg and rumor is out that the rally cars will also come with Electronically controlled center differentials which are set up for advanced handling and maneuvering. Speaking of the next season of WRC, the World champion Sébastien Ogier said “as a racing driver you are always looking for more performance. I think the larger wing and new aerodynamics will give the car a bit more downforce, more grip and more speed going into the corners.” Moreover, engine power is also going to change since the turbocharger’s restrictor has changed form 34 to 36 mm while boost pressure still remains stagnant at a maximum of 2.5 bar.
