To all the souls on the earth, the long wait and the seeming endless stream of leaks has finally come to an end. Lamborghini’s all new hypercar has revealed itself by making a grand debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Whoa! What a hypercar it actually is. The all new Bull God will shatter the earth with the 700 ponies it has on tap, unleashed by the monster of a V12 engine that it is equipped with. All this also makes the latest Lamborghini creation to have the highest power to weight ratio as shown by any other car in the world in its class. And to much of your guesses, this is the much awaited, coveted sedan — Lamborghini’s Aventador Lp700-4.
Lamborghini is hugely talented to create some deadly threatening super sports car. They are equally competent in christening them. In accordance with the details received from the company, ‘Aventador’ was the name of a bull that hustled in for a battle on October 1993 at the Sargossa Arena, earning the epithet of “Trofeo de la Peña La Madroñera” for its outstanding courage. Having the courage to go up against a new world of super sports cars will be the challenge for the Lamborghini to hold its flag high. This since the world order has changed, cutting edge technology is pilfering into the people’s lives at a rate faster than ever before so that a number of high end sedans have made their way in offering consumers with more choice. Lamborghini, on its part has been promoting its carbon-fiber monocoque technology and the Aventador is a living proof of that. Something further attenuated by the car’s superb acceleration figures of just 2.9 second for the 0 to 62 mph sprint. Now the question is: will that be enough? The answer is in the hands of time.
Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini is optimistic though. “The Aventador is a jump of two generations in terms of design and technology, it’s the result of an entirely new project, but at the same time it’s a direct and consistent continuation of Lamborghini’s brand values. It is extreme in its design and its performance, uncompromising in its standards and technology, and unmistakably Italian in its style and perfection. Overall, the dynamics and technical excellence of the Aventador LP 700-4 makes it unrivalled in the worldwide super sports car arena.”
