Four crew members dead in Black Hawk helicopter crash in Leesburg

All four crew members onboard a Black Hawk helicopter that crashed in Leesburg, Florida on Tuesday during a training exercise have died.

Federal investigators with the National Transportation Safety Bureau (NTSB) were back at the scene Wednesday of the fatal helicopter crash at Leesburg International Airport.

The names of the four victims havene’t been released yet by the NTSB.

According to Leesburg police, the Black Hawk helicopter that crashed during a training exercise Tuesday evening is registered to Brainerd Helicopters Inc./Firehawk Helicopters.

Police said the company, which is based at the Leesburg airport and in Idaho, is contracted out by regional governments, and the federal government, throughout the country.

The NTSB said investigators are now looking at the wreckage and the crash site.
