Tata Motors made surprises at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show with the introduction of the Racemo sports coupe concept under its sub-brand Tamo and the Tigor’s launch date announcement. However, went one action ahead and showcased the Nexon ‘Geneva Edition’ too.

Nexon, sub-4 metre compact SUV was initially showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo in 2016, wherein the automaker stated that the automobile ought to hit the roads by the second half 2017.

The ‘Geneva Edition’ showcased in Geneva includes projector headlamps with DRLs and dual-tone colour scheme. The tail lights are LEDs as well and the 17-inch alloy wheels in addition to the roof rails accentuate the Nexon’s SUV stance.

Taking a look at interior, there’s a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment unit which features functions such as voice command acknowledgment and a rear parking electronic camera.

When it pertains to safety, the Nexon is anticipated to come with dual airbags, ABD, EBD and ISOFIX mounts at the back.

The model showed at the Geneva Motor Show is geared up with a 1.5-litre Revotorq diesel motor that is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

What is yet to be seen is how many of these functions make it to the final production version offering. As soon as introduced, the Nexon will be competing models such as Ford EcoSport and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
