Two killed, one injured after wrong-way car crash in St. Clair County

Two were killed and a child was critically injured following a car crash on Monday afternoon on Interstate 94 in St. Clair County, Michigan.

The crash took place about 2:30 p.m. on Monday when a 25-year-old St. Clair woman was driving her silver 2014 Chevrolet Cruze and she entered the freeway in the eastbound lanes heading westbound. Her car then crashed into a black 2003 GMC Yukon driven by a 33-year-old woman.

Both women died following the crash.

A child in Yukon was taken to a local hospital then shifted to a children’s hospital for treatment of critical injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by Michigan State Police.
