Two teens killed after car crash in Rockford, Illinois

The incident took place just before 5 p.m. on Thursday near the intersection of Springfield and Montague, Illinois.

Information on the crash is still limited at this time, but for now, officials have told that it was a two-car crash in which the teens were thrown from their vehicle.

The ages of the teens were 14 and 15 years old. The names of the boys will be released when their families are notified.

The boys were declared dead at the scene by officials.

Rockford Police wrote on Twitter: “Serious car crash on Montague and Springfield. Avoid the area until further notice. More details to follow when available.”
