Four dead after planes crash in Boulder County

Four people are dead after two planes collided in mid-air over Boulder County in Colorado on Saturday morning.

The officials with Boulder County Sheriff’s Office were notified about the aircrafts at 8:54 a.m. near the unincorporated town of Niwot. 

The crash took place between N. 95th St. and U.S. 287.

Multiple rescue crews arrived in the 10000 block of Niwot road and discovered two planes at two separate crash sites.

One aircraft was found on the southside of the area and another aircraft was at the 9700 block of Niwot Road.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s said four people were killed.

The incident will be investigated by Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board.
